Blue Titmouse
Titmouse (order Passeriformes, family Paridae). Blue Tit (Cyanistes caeruleus).
Small, cheery little Titmice are some of the hardiest birds you'll find in the Northern regions of the world. Cold winters don't get them down, they like to stay home for winter and sing merrily through the season. And they're sure to never go hungry, able to remember multiple locations for food storage in tree bark crevices, tiny dugouts and wee branch holes. The Blue Tit's wings give it its name, but its bright yellow belly make it equally recognizable. Agile, speedy and athletic, the Titmouse can be found from Great Britain to Japan.
